InJustice
A story of corruption and injustice at the highest levels of our government, that is only beginning to come fully out in the open. It is a dark chapter in which the Justice Department of the United States was hijacked, in which overzealous members of the executive branch tried to turn the DOJ into a political tool to strengthen their hold on office.  It is the story of five men of principle who refused to bow to the political will of the Bush-Rove-Gonzales administration.

InJustice, a documentary feature film for international release, will take viewers inside the backroom maneuverings that led to the unprecedented and illegal firing of David Iglesias. It will tell his heroic story and that of his colleagues who stood up for the principles of the constitution they had sworn to uphold even if it meant defying the president who had appointed them. Aside from Congressional testimony and brief media appearances, the interviews we have filmed with these five men mark the first occasion they have all spoken at length about their stories on camera.

In the movie, InJustice, these former federal prosecutors, and other past and present Justice Department officials, will speak out about how their law enforcement mission and the tremendous power they hold was subverted to the political demands of the Bush Administration.  Each of the fired US attorneys will reveal in the course of the film how they became targeted when they were seen as “too slow” to bring criminal charges against the this administration’s political foes in time to help GOP election prospects, were “too adamant” in pursuing cases against “friends” of the President, or refused to file bogus voter fraud cases to help disenfranchise minority voters.  This documentary, from Executive Producer and 2008 Oscar winner Alex Gibney, produced by Oscar® nominated filmmaker, Oren Jacoby and award-winning investigative producer, David Lewis, will tell the compelling story of a Justice Department gone wrong.
